At Sinead Halpin Equestrian, we pride ourselves on the power of teamwork. We are much more than smiling faces and a horse training business. We strive to create a progressive and positive working environment from the bottom up and believe 100% in the values of transparency and honesty with our clients and our horses.
Team SHE is constantly looking for ways to push through boundaries, for ideas on how to expand our business, and for ways to promote the sport of Eventing long-term. Working students, grooms, and riders are given the opportunity to learn in a multitude of ways and can truly make this job what they want, opening countless doors for the future.

Megan or ‘MegKep’ as she is known in the world of Eventing has worked along Sinead since before Tate’s four-star debut. At the time, Sinead and Megan were friends. Megan was out of a job and Sinead was out of a groom, and over a cold drink in a dark pub, they agreed on a short-term hire to get Sinead through Rolex the next spring. Over four years later, Megan has helped Sinead grow from a 5-horse business struggling to survive to a 15-horse operation with a waiting list. She continues to look for ways to make a business she believes in more sustainable. In the last 18 months SHE has released their own Saddle, Neckstrap, has become an official dealer of Prestige Saddles, and has also taken over the head coaching position for Area II Young Riders.
SHE has given me a platform to explore endless possibilities both on and off the horse within the sport. I have been privileged enough to fly around the world with an amazing horse and call some of the best riders, grooms, and coaches in eventing my best friends. I always had a desire to be more than a groom and Sinead has been supportive of my growth and development. Sinead has helped me to realize I still have a deep desire to ride and coach, and has given me the platform and the confidence to pursue it. I think it is going to be an exciting year! ”
Lynn is a 25 year old aspiring professional groom hailing from Mount Laurel, New Jersey. As a gift for her 12th birthday she was given a riding lesson at a local hunter farm, and was shortly head over heels in love with the equestrian sport. Lynn attained her bachelor’s degree in political science at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia, after which she lasted a couple of years working in Washington DC as a legal assistant before diving right back into horses at Sinead Halpin Eventing.
Lynn is very excited to be part of the team at SHE, and is looking forward to learning how the many working parts of a professional horse operation fit together for success on the international stage. She has a personal interest in young horses and retraining off the track thoroughbreds, and is thrilled to be surrounded by so many great people and resources at SHE to further her education in this pursuit. Lynn is enthusiastically anticipating the upcoming season, which is sure to be incredible with team SHE.
What our working students have said
“When I decided to take a gap year before starting college, I knew I wanted to work for Sinead. My experience at Sinead Halpin Eventing expanded my knowledge and gave me opportunities I never expected to have. These experiences ranged from riding baby horses that had been imported, to hacking Tate, to being able to watch the Training sessions taught by David O’Connor. In addition, I was able to travel to major events such as Plantation Field and Fair Hill and learn how the vet box works. By being a working student for Sinead, I learned how to be a better horse person. I learned the ins and outs of proper horse care and barn management. I was also able to take some lessons with her husband, Tik, on natural horsemanship. When my Preliminary horse became injured, Sinead was able to find me a nice OTTB that was in my price range and helped me bring him up from Beginner Novice to Preliminary. My once-in-a-lifetime experience as a working student for Sinead Halpin Eventing left me feeling more confident in my abilities in and out of the tack.” – Amelia Bayer
